After the Rain

Good Morning! Hope you are having a nice long weekend. We are staying home,
the weather here right now is perfect. Not to hot or to cold. Here's another card. This for the challenge at stamptv. Melanie's pot luck Friday's. We were to use pattern and textures in our card. I used the netting for the texture and gina's digi pattern paper for the pattern. The stamp set I used is Rupa's Guilding Light by Gina K. Designs. I used copic's to color the image and the water and the sky. I then used a white gel pen to highlight them. I grew up on the Pacific coast and we often had skies that looked a lot like this. this is my version of it. Hope you like it.
Have a great weekend!

Western Style Hinged

Good Morning! I have a new card to share with you. This is for a challenge over at stamptv, stvpf13. We were to make a card using scrapes from leftover cards. That is not a problem for me. I have plenty of that!!! I decided to make a hinge card and take advantage of the left over stars paper I had. I got it at Michael's and it's printed on both sides. I wish I had gotten more as they were out when looked last time. The label is from pants going to good will. The images are from Theresa Momber set "Out West" and you can find it at Gina K. Designs. the images I colored with copics. The brads are from Michael's. I'm off to shop today. Have a great day!!

Be Claws

I'm back! Here is another card I did today for stamptv Monday's color challenge stvcc12 and for scs challenge lsc220. I received the set "Just be Claws" by Gina K. Designs for Mother's day. Brenda knew I wanted this and I couldn't wait to try it. The paper with the stars I got at michael's. I colored the image with copics. I put a silver brad on the handle of the pail. The ribbon is Gina K. That's all for now.

My Reflections

Hi everyone! The sun is out and it is just beautiful and I'm so ready to complain about the heat! LOL.
Here is two cards I did using Theresa's set "Out West". The reflections I used here I was inspired from Theresa's tutorial, of course I can't do it as well as she does. You can view her tutorial here.

This first card I made into a oblong card so I could get the whole image in the card. The second card was trimmed to fit a 4 by 6 picture frame. I colored both the same using copics for the image and I sponged bashful blue around to make the clouds and the water. I used a white gel pen on top of the water. I hope you like it I love to color but have a time with the layouts.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Yellow Roses for Mom

Happy Mother's day to all you mom's out there!

I thought I would share the card I made my mom. I'm very happy to tell you how lucky I feel having her. She still lives on her own and does a pretty good job of it. She is very special to me.

The stamp set I used for this is Melanie's set "A year of flowers" from Gina K. Designs. The sentiment is from Gina's set called "notes to mom". I used copics to color the roses and su bashful blue to sponge around the roses. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the tag punch is McGill. I colored the pearls with copic to match the roses.

Have a wonderful day!
